Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinct mix of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. The singer's career has taken her across Broadway to European concerts and festivals to even at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was born Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for the nation during daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
