Aaliyah Haughton was famous in 1994 when she released her debut album Age Ain't nothing but an amount. She was only 15 at the time and the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought the singer up to the top of the charts. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland on her sophomore studio album One In A Million, which featured the #1 hit single If Your Girl knew. Aaliyah received international recognition for her R&B songs with this album. The year 2000 saw her appeared alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die.
